The primary cause of endometrial hyperplasia is the lack of balance between two female hormones(oestrogen and progesterone). This disease may cause when there is too much oestrogen secretion, without corresponding exposure to progesterone. This is an abnormal condition, known as unopposed oestrogen. Too much oestrogen, and lack of progesterone leads to a situation of overgrowth of cells in the endometrium. This results in excessive thickening of the endometrium.

This disease also can be caused by chronic disease such as diabetes, obesity, and polycystic ovary syndrome ( PCOS), which is characterized by multiple small cysts that are in or on the uterus. Women should avoid chronic disease by doing exercise.

Since this disease is so easy to affect, women should keep a balance diet to keep healthy. As you may know, unhealthy lifestyle is one causes of this disease too. Women with this disease can experience abnormal menstrual period, and painful mense.
